IMFC is an organization that seeks to provide relief, discipleship and church planting using various approaches. One way is through Manna Ministry which provides food relief for the neediest of the needy in Kampala’s many slums. Along with other IMFC staff, Simon and Aggie meet with Manna Ministry recipients in their homes. They establish relationships, counsel, share the gospel, offer encouragement and pray with them, all while assessing the well-being of the entire family. Knowing their jobs are not finished when they welcome a new believer, they are constantly on the lookout for new house-church leaders and intentionally direct new believers to existing groups. They also teach, train and disciple house-church members. IMFC reports that in 2013 alone, 200 households received Manna Ministry food deliveries. More than 23,000 heard the gospel and completed the first booklet in a Bible Way discipleship series Who is Jesus, and 1,219 were baptized! Also, over 200 house-churches were born in the slums.
