I was really struggling keep the camera steady while taking this video! This was the celebration at the end of Cindy Jones and Amanda Page’s recent three week Aggie’s Arts trip to Uganda – showing our love and appreciation of the Aggie’s Arts Banda Artisan ladies. We’ve never done this before…and in fact we found out that some of the ladies had never done this before either; for some it was their first time to be invited to a party, for others, it was their first time to visit this part of Kampala. It was great! The ladies looked amazing, dressed up in their beautiful outfits. It’s so cool to watch them interact with each other – they’re such a close group. Some of them are quiet and reserved, while others are very outgoing!
I had tears in my eyes when they presented special hand-made gifts to Cindy and Amanda – it was so touching… and at the same time I was trying not to laugh, as you’ll understand after watching! Wow, what a blessing to be part of this. Thanks to all who have made and who are making Aggie’s Arts possible – all the volunteers, and all who have bought crafts made by the Banda Artisans. I know the ladies would love to dance like this for all of you. If I wasn’t tied up being the camera guy I might have tried my (ahem)…hand at this too.
